Territorial Sales Manager Description
We are looking for a Territorial Sales Manager that will be responsible for intense telemarketing
and acquisition of quotation requests for the development, promotion and sales of our company’s
products. A Sales Manager who will help us increase our sales revenues and maintain customer
relationships within an assigned geographical area. This person reports to the Vice President of Sales. And
will work to help us achieve our goals. Looking for someone that is goal-oriented, great Customer Service
and strong organizational skills. Promote the acquisition of quote requests for gearbox assemblies via the
telephone by reviewing and maintaining the following sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES
➢ O.E.M. advertising appearing in periodicals
➢ Advertising that appears in newsletters
➢ Catalog mailings and mass mailings
➢ Customers who ordered one year ago” list
➢ Target accounts prospects
➢ Unit sales by customer (forecasting sheets)
➢ Follow up on prototypes, quotations, call reports, catalogs and other leads either
directly with the customer or through the distributor network
➢ File a weekly written log on telephone sales calls that were completed
➢ Submit a written monthly report on all current targeted accounts and the probability of
securing them as a customer
➢ Solicit information on trade shows that we may wish to attend and follow up on leads
generated from same
➢ Assist with the sale of obsolete inventory
➢ Schedule sales calls and prepare travel folders with outlines for outside sales personnel
➢ Assist with the maintenance of a catalog reorder and update file to assure all current
information is contained in the company’s catalog and that an adequate supply is
maintained
➢ Maintain a competitors customer list. By listing customer, customer’s address, annual
usage, model, target price and application for the gearboxes. Create file in word
processing for quick access
➢ Maintain customer and prospect map with semiannual comparison with monthly target
list
➢ Maintaining solid working relationships with customers by ensuring that their needs are
met and resolving complaints in a timely manner
➢ Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products and services
➢ Developing innovative sales strategies to increase sales within assigned territory
➢ Conducting surveys to better understand customer needs
➢ Monitoring competitors’ sales activity within assigned territory
➢ New applications for the company’s products
➢ Stolen customers (also competitor’s name)
➢ Filing
➢ Processing Emails
➢ Contact Clients to obtain missing information
➢ Spreadsheets / Updating
➢ Researching Orders / Shipments
➢ Maintain Communication with Company Personnel
➢ Maintain and Organize Work Area
➢ Performs other Projects and duties as Assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
◆ 2 to 3 years in Sales of Manufacturing goods (preferred)
◆ Proven experience of increasing sales and revenue working as a territory sales manager
◆ Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
◆ Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills
◆ 2 to 3 years in Sales of Manufacturing goods
