Storeroom Clerk Description
We are looking for a Storeroom Clerk for the Receiving Department for the processing
of daily deliveries for raw materials or product from incoming inventory as well as outgoing
inventory to Production and Assembly. You should be able to inspect deliveries with great
attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items. With the
organizing of inventory and maintaining of inventory counts and quality control procedures as
well as documenting damages or locating discrepancies with orders. Collaborates and
communicates with Production and Assembly and others involved in the receiving of products.
And ultimately being able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any
problems or discrepancies.
➢ Taking direction from Receiving Lead or Supervisor for incoming deliveries
➢ Receiving and signing for deliveries
➢ Unloading deliveries from incoming trucks
➢ Properly account for the location of incoming goods
➢ Assuring no damaged items are received
➢ Check Packing Slip / Pick Tickets against Purchase Orders for accurate counts
➢ Updating inventory as products are received and added to inventory
➢ Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas
➢ Communicating with Vendors regarding delays or problems with deliveries
➢ Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
➢ Keep list of expected deliveries
➢ Prepare paperwork for Production & Assembly orders
➢ Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
➢ Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving
➢ Performs other duties as Assigned by Lead or Supervisor
❖ Proven experience as Receiving clerk or similar position
❖ Experience in operating forklifts
❖ Working knowledge of computer programs for data entry
❖ Basic math and recording abilities
❖ Excellent organizational skills

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to move and lift heavy items of up to required weight — 50 lbs.
• Previous warehouse experience a plus
• Understanding of warehouse safety regulations
• Able to reach, bend, crouch and kneel
▪ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
▪ 6 months logistics, product and receiving experience preferred
▪ Forklift Experience and Certification a plus
▪ Prior warehouse experience (preferred)
