Quality Supervisor Description
We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to lead continuous improvement efforts at the
plant, along with leading the quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution
of products and customer satisfaction every time. Developing designs that will meet or exceed
customer requirements for their given application. The incumbent develops, implements best
practices throughout the production process. And manages the Quality Management System
for the company, ensuring it conforms to internal, customer, ISO 9001 / AS 9100, regulatory
and legal requirements. The incumbent develops quality control systems designed to ensure
continuous production of advanced gearing procedures.
Communication skills, safety and maintenance of an organized and clean working
environment are a must. Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring
that they meet requirements. Quality Supervisor will also serve as company’s training
coordinator. Good delegation and time-management skills are required in this fast-paced,
engineering and manufacturing environment. Candidate must be able to work for a small,
dynamic company with many products and proprietary technologies.

systems of a company to ensure the proper execution of products and our customer’s
satisfaction. Also, provide reports on quality metrics to the other members of the management
team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

RESPONSIBILITIES
➢ Lead the creation of manufacturing processes, routings and drawings
➢ Evaluate and establish manufacturing cost, quality plan and investment of
new, relocated and redesigned components
➢ Recommend and implements improvements to existing manufacturing
operations, equipment and procedures
➢ Develop all manufacturing engineering inputs required for the development
of accurate cost models in support of the quotation process
➢ Identify and coordinate best practice implementation
➢ Present manufacturing plans to the Senior Management for approval
➢ Evaluate and verify manufacturing processes, procedures, equipment and
tool designs completed by peers
➢ Investigate, analyze and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and
manufacturing methods
➢ Prepare financial justification for projects in support of CAR analysis
➢ Manage capital and expense spending for assigned projects
➢ Procure equipment and tooling per project plan and standards
➢ Ensure evaluation of and reporting on vendor quality systems
➢ Manage the monitoring, measurement and review of internal processes,
especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products
➢ Work with customers, employees, contractors and outsourcing firms to
develop product requirements
➢ Report to top management on the performance of the OS (e.g., results of
quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement
➢ Oversee product recalls
➢ Assist in tracking complaints through to satisfactory completion
➢ Resolve Customer concerns as required
➢ Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection / calibration of monitoring
and measuring devices.
➢ Keep up on standards, regulations / laws, issues and news with respect to
product (service) quality
➢ Provide technical assistance to sales staff
➢ Contact and/or visits customers and suppliers when necessary to resolve
issues

❖ Solid Modeling experience
❖ Experience with green machining (Turning, Milling, etc.)
❖ Understanding the capabilities and limitations of machine tools
❖ Possess the ability to define specifications for automation in support of
manufacturing operations
❖ Project Management skills to define, track and report on project status
❖ Able to develop optimal manufacturing processes and provide cost estimates
for business cases
❖ Good decision making and communication skills
❖ Knowledge of transportation industry
❖ Ability to grasp new concepts
❖ Ability to maintain company Confidentiality
❖ Ability to multi-task
❖ Able to identify issues and solve routine problems, recognize and define
safety improvements for all aspects of manufacturing
❖ Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
❖ Proficient with computer operations and applications: MS Office — Excel,
Word, Outlook, Access, basic CAD skills, ERP applications
❖ Ability to work both independently and in a team environment along with all
levels of management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
➢ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints,
correspondence and memos in English. Ability to write English
correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to small group
situations and to management and company employees
➢ Detail oriented, highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize workload
➢ Require a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, methods and
various processes, tools and related manufacturing equipment and quality
production methods.
➢ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
❖ Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a Manufacturing
environment
❖ Knowledge of ISO for Gearbox Manufacturing
❖ Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
❖ Preferably 3 years of Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
➢ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
➢ The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and talk or hear.
➢ The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
➢ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability
to adjust focus.
