EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
Four (4) plus years of clinical nursing care work experience.
Four (4) plus years of progressive work and relevant industry experience including one (1) plus years of charge-nurse experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
COMPENSATION:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Starting base pay up $40/hr based on experience and education
SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:

Night: $4.25
Weekend Night: $4.75
Weekend Day: $1.00

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides support as needed to the Nursing Director in day-to-day supervision of the nursing staff to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with Valley Hope’s operating policies, procedures, and standards.
Assists with the supervision of nursing staff to help ensure appropriate nursing staff continues to be maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with particular focus on the evening shift.
Assists the Nursing Director in supervising nursing staff including orientation and training, monitoring the quality of treatment documents, providing support during the annual review/goal setting process, as well as providing routine performance feedback and mentoring in support of staff development.
Provides support to the Nursing Director as needed for medical care including case management and inpatient medical care treatment services.
Provides assistance as needed to ensure proper and adequate treatment provided during emergencies; follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.)
Participates in facility performance improvement activities with an emphasis on medical services and improving nursing care quality. Collaborates with facility management staff to identify and implement improvement activities across the facility.
Assists with the security, control, and administration of drugs, medications, treatments, and tests as allowed by law.
Assists the Nursing Director in building the skills and competencies of the nursing staff as needed to meet minimum requirements as specified by customary standards of nursing practice, external accrediting agency guidelines, and internal organizational guidelines.
Provides feedback as needed to the Nursing Director during the annual budgeting process and throughout the year to manage medical nursing operations according to budget.

In this role you will act as liaison and resource for alumni, fostering long-term relationship with the organization.  Occasional evening and weekend work required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

One (1) year of work experience with an emphasis on office administration or event planning/project management experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Preferred:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a preference for emphasis in Non-Profit Leadership or Business Studies.
Two (2) years work experience for a non-profit organization with a preference for emphasis on event planning/project management experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates all activities related to facility-specific alumni and family support.
Maintains alumni database including family contacts.
Communicates with alumni regularly via phone and email.
Maintains and tracks important alumni sobriety data via documented wellness checks.
Collaborates with clinical staff to provide and maintain list of current, temporary sponsor options for discharging patients.
Meet with each patient group and patient prior to discharge, providing information and opportunity to join the Alumni Program.
Coordinates Alumni Chapter Meetings in various satellite locations. Develop and coordinate regional quarterly activities. (ie: bowling, hiking)
Maintain data base of volunteers will to act as temporary sponsors, Chapter meeting ambassadors, panel discussion participants, event speakers or Hope Builder Board members.
Attends weekly treatment team meetings to collaborate and support aftercare.
Works with Director of Development, facility leadership, and volunteer Hope Builder Boards in the coordination of fundraising activities and alumni development.
Travels as needed to facility/event sites/locations (estimated 20 - 30% of time)
Collaborates and Communicates with Foundation Department to identify, gather and collect contact information for donor prospects.
Collaborates and Communicates with Marketing Department to generate admissions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office setting with traditional hours, weekend and evening hours may be required.
Must be able to travel – estimated at 20-30% of the time.
