Join our System Operations team! Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is seeking a System Operations Supervisor who wants to work with a dynamic and experienced group of operators.
NOW HIRING: System Operations Supervisor in Garden City, Kansas. Sunflower is a generation and transmission utility seeking a supervisor who can ensure safe and reliable operations of the transmission system following North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) operating/reliability standards, Southwest Power Pool (SPP) criteria, and established company policies/procedures. The successful candidate should have leadership and coaching skills to oversee System Operators, a positive collaboration mindset, and be able to fulfill all aspects of Sunflower’s culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and eight years operations experience, six of which are in system operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess and maintain NERC certification.
Extensive knowledge of system operations, generation operations, and transmission systems.
Knowledge of both safety procedures and NERC reliability standards.
Supervisory, leadership, and coaching abilities.
