Seward County Community College Seeking a Part Time Substitute Cosmetology Instructor

Position is responsible for assisting in the instruction and supervision of students in the cosmetology program for a minimum of 23 hours weekly.  The instructor is to prepare the student in learning opportunities, develop academic and professional knowledge, and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.  The instructor will emphasize training in safety, sanitation, product knowledge, hair and scalp treatments, skin and nail care, hair cutting, styling, chemical relaxing, permanent waving, hair tinting and bleaching, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology, business information, salon management, and preparing students for state licensing exams.

Qualifications

Current Kansas Cosmetology License and Kansas Cosmetology Instructor’s License and Six to two years as a cosmetologist experience required. Associate degree or Vocational certificate preferred. Good communications, Flexible Schedule and Teaching experience, a plus.
