EMS Director

Scott County Hospital DBA Scott County EMS is seeking a full-time EMS Director. This role is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily EMS operations which includes 911 response within the county, Medical Transfers, Coordinating with other providers, county departments, municipal agencies, and Scott County Hospital. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates ambulance service performance; develops and implements written policies, procedures, and guidelines; administers and manages staff and budget. Ensures compliance with national, state, and local regulations as well as nationally accepted standards of practice for ground medical transport operations. Manages and schedules professional staff, maintains vehicles and facility, rotating call schedule, and assists in teaching EMT courses. The EMS Director reports to the Scott County Hospital CEO and the Scott County Commissioners. Scott County EMS is a volunteer BLS/part-time ALS service that serves a county of about 4,900 people with approximately 480 runs per year. Current EMS Certification required and EMS Management experience preferred. Must live in Scott City, KS or willing to relocate.
