Phillips County Economic Development is seeking a person to fill an Administrative Assistant position to provide support to the Director. The office assistant will be responsible for general clerical and reception work, project assignments, and other economic development related activity.
Candidates for the position should have:
Strong working knowledge in computer skills (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Some scheduling, filing, & researching experience
Office etiquette skills and project a professional image through in-person and phone interaction
Website creation or maintenance (updating) experience or training
Candidates with the following skills will be additionally beneficial:
Marketing, Sales, Management or Teaching background education or experience
Experience with accounting software (Quicken, QuickBooks)
Economic or Community Development experience or subsequent training
Grant Writing/Researching experience
Leadership degree or subsequent training
Familiarity with marketing and/or correspondence via electronic media(s)
This is a full time position working forty (40) hours a week. Hours are typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Some attendance at evening meetings may be required. Hourly wage based upon experience. The position will include all county benefits afforded to this level of employment.
