Overview

Norton County Hospital has a full-time employment opportunity for a Phlebotomist-Lab Assistant in our Laboratory Department.  Applicant with phlebotomy experience and phlebotomy certification preferred. Applicant must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent communication, customer service and computer skills, and be able to multi-task.  Position schedule is 40 hours Monday through Friday.  Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

 

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Obtains blood specimens and other sample collection for the.
Verified patients identification and that paperwork is in order.
Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques, following department procedure; observing isolation procedures.
Phone calls, faxes and clerical tasks for the department.
