Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems in Beloit, Kansas, is looking for a full-time, energetic and driven Activities Coordinator to manage our geriatric behavioral health activities program. Job requirements include planning, organizing, and directing therapeutic patient activities under the guidance of the Program Director. Requirements also include making a written report of initial patient assessment, evaluation, treatment and progress as evidenced by initial assessment forms completed on the chart, and documentation on the progress notes and on the treatment plan. Applicants must enjoy working with elderly residents and have experience in psychiatric/behavioral health care. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (flexible) where the Activities Coordinator pre-plans a standardized agenda for the geriatric behavioral health patients. Activities could consist of arts & crafts, story telling, music therapy, etc. Certificate preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.
