Overview

Solomon Valley Hospice in Beloit, Kansas is looking for a PRN Registered Nurse (up to 16 hours per week) Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The proper candidate will be part of our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care provided in the patient’s place of residence. Job duties include admitting new patients and completing admission/initial assessment and associated documentation. As the patient’s case manager, the nurse is also responsible for leadership and oversight of the patient’s entire interdisciplinary plan of care. The RN will utilize teaching, assessment and intervention skills to provide quality end of life care for patients and their families. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, pay strong attention to detail and accuracy, and work under pressure in a cooperative work environment. Must be self-directed and motivated with strong communication and computer skills. This job requires flexibility to meet patient care needs within the continuum of services and participation in the 24/7 nursing coverage rotation (approximately 5 nights per month). The qualified applicant must have a minimum of 2 years recent RN clinical experience. Hospice and or Home Health experience is preferred.
