Overview

Purpose: This person will manage and supervise the activities and associates within the sales
department to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize overall profitability.
Preferred for this person to have 3-5 years of management experience in a sales environment. A college
diploma is preferred.
This individual is expected to:
• Follow corporate policies and objectives and develop a long term strategy for the sales
department
• Effectively lead the company’s in-house sales team by coaching and mentoring associates
• Conduct performance reviews
• Manage outside manufacturer’s representatives and distributors
• Acts as liaison between sales and other departments inside the company
• Willingness to travel approximately 1—3 times per quarter, representing company at industry
meetings and trade shows
• Be responsible for the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual sales written reports
• Communicate industry trends and general market data to entire corporate team
• Be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, organizational and follow through skills
• Demonstrate effective decision making, problem solving, listening and customer service skills
• Possess original ideas regarding growing the sales of the company
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in use of common
computer software
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and continually build safety awareness
• Assist with the maintaining and updating of the company web site and embrace changing
technology
• Willing to take on additional assigned projects from time to time
