Full-Time Navigator Project Coordinator
Basic Job Purpose: To work with the Navigator Project Director, Kansas Marketplace Consortium organizations and their members, and partner organizations to successfully implement the goals and objectives of this program. To provide outreach and enrollment assistance for individuals in enrolling in the federal health insurance marketplace.
Supervision: Reports directly to Navigator Project Director
Working Conditions: Work requires an interdependent relationship with other staff and external organizations involved in carrying out the work of the federal Navigator grant program. Work includes independent professional interaction with varied individuals and organizations involved in Navigator and other outreach and enrollment activities associated with the Insurance Marketplace.
NAVIGATOR COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT EXPECTATIONS
•Complete the federal Navigator training program and pass certification exam.
•Assist individuals in the state in navigating the federal Insurance Marketplace.
•Assist in recruiting volunteers to serve as Navigators and ensure training is completed.
•Promote face-to-face Navigator training opportunities in the region.
•Assist the Navigator Project Director in completing cooperative agreement activities and reporting requirements.
•Keep immediate supervisor informed of activities and project timelines, including areas of concern and challenges, within areas of responsibility.
•Work cooperatively with Kansas Marketplace Consortium and partner organizations in carrying out the activities of the project.
•Graduate of an accredited college or university preferred.
•Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
•Knowledge of health insurance exchanges and/or health insurance preferred.
•Strong knowledge of, and the ability to effectively utilize, the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.
•Ability to effectively manage multiple activities on a routine basis, with minimal supervision.
•Must be able to travel by automobile as dictated by the responsibilities of the position.
•Preference provided to bilingual individuals.
•This is a full-time, ten month position, with the possibility of longer tenure if additional federal funding is available.
